Smarter reconciliations with enhanced XENTIS matching

XENTIS now supports enhanced automated N:M matching for open items and external reports.
12.10.2026 | The new module is particularly relevant for larger clients with high transaction volumes. Where simple 1:n matching reaches its limits, manually reconciling payments and statements can quickly become time-consuming and difficult to manage as volumes increase. With this enhancement, XENTIS will also support more complex reconciliations that previously required considerable manual effort – turning a labour-intensive routine task into a largely automated process.
Matching rules tailored to your processes
At the heart of the new functionality is a user-friendly interface that allows users to define their own matching rules. There is no need for technical configuration tools or support from IT: users who understand their reconciliation processes can create and manage the appropriate rules directly themselves.
The ability to group transactions flexibly provides additional scope for customisation. Alongside traditional matching criteria, transaction types, currencies and text patterns can be used to intelligently group transactions. This allows the matching process to reflect specific operational requirements rather than relying on rigid standard criteria – particularly valuable when dealing with heterogeneous transaction structures.
Automatically detecting and reconciling minor discrepancies
Once the matching rules have been defined, XENTIS applies them automatically in the background. Even minor discrepancies can be identified and reconciled automatically within predefined tolerances, increasing match rates and significantly reducing the need for manual follow-up.
Instead of reviewing lengthy lists of open items and resolving minor discrepancies individually, users can rely on XENTIS to handle these cases automatically. Tasks that previously required manual postings and subsequent checks can therefore be processed reliably without manual intervention.
Full transparency and traceability
A high degree of automation requires an equally high level of transparency. All matching rules and automated corrections are fully logged and remain available for audits and internal reviews. Even with highly automated processes, users retain full visibility into which rules were applied, the results they produced and when they were executed.
For clients with high reconciliation volumes, the new functionality can significantly reduce operational effort while increasing the level of automation in day-to-day processing.
