Delta Lloyd Deutschland AG (Delta Lloyd) has successfully completed the implementation project for XENTIS as its central tool for capital investment management. Not only was the targeted timeframe adhered to, but the economic targets were also exceeded.

Delta Lloyd uses XENTIS to manage the investments of around 400,000 insurance contracts. This also includes unlisted assets such as real estate and mortgage loans, which must be recorded for information purposes. It is important to ensure smooth ex-ante and ex-post checks of investment limits in accordance with the German Regulation on the Investment of Insurance Companies' Committed Assets (AnlV) and to prepare all documentation required for German insurance reporting. In addition to investment controlling, Delta Lloyd accounts for all transactions in accordance with HGB and IFRS in the XENTIS subledger, which is linked to the SAP general ledger via an automated interface. The next step is to implement Solvency II with XENTIS.

"With Delta Lloyd's decision to bring its outsourced asset management back in-house, our organisation has set itself a major challenge. The deadline for XENTIS going live was set in stone due to the expiring outsourcing contract. Workflows had to be redefined at Delta Lloyd and employees had to be trained very quickly. Under these conditions, such a large-scale project can only be successfully completed with the right business partner and the right software. Profidata and XENTIS meet these requirements. All project goals were achieved and our trust has been confirmed in the long term," explains Holger Bennewiz, Head of Investments at Delta Lloyd and responsible project manager.

Peter Klein, member of the Profidata Group Executive Board, oversaw the introduction of XENTIS as the project sponsor: "I was convinced that XENTIS and the Profidata project team were up to the challenge posed by Delta Lloyd's challenging environment. However, the successful completion of the project also required the focused efforts of the Delta Lloyd team and the comprehensive support of Delta Lloyd's management. With this implementation, Profidata has established itself as a competent solution provider in the insurance sector."

Delta Lloyd Deutschland AG, with around 200 employees and headquarters in Wiesbaden, specialises in the management of life insurance portfolios. The company was formed from Berlinische Lebensversicherung, founded in 1836, and is part of the Dutch Delta Lloyd Group. For further information, please visit www.deltalloyd.de.
